Well House Tavern Exeter

The Well House Tavern (Michael Caines Tavern) is part of the The Abode Exeter formerly the Royal Clarence Hotel in Exeter and directly opposite Exeter Cathedral, with great views of the church and Cathedral Green. The Well House Tavern is known for its fine food and good selection of ales, beers and whiskies. There's a Sunday roast at Sunday lunchtime.

A set of bones on display in the basement are often said to belong to a monk and a nun who threw themselves down a well in Cathedral yard to be together in death.
