BBC Broadcasting House

BBC House (Broadcasting House) in Portland Place and Langham Place in central London is one of the city's most famous art-deco buildings.

BBC House, London, England

The first BBC radio broadcast was made here in 1932 and now the building is home to the BBC's extensive media operations. Made in Portland stone, BBC House is a Grade II listed building and the exterior has many interesting features designed by the noted English sculptor Eric Gill (1882-1940), whose work can also be seen inside Westminster Cathedral.
