Redcar Hotel in Bath

The Redcar Hotel is located in a Georgian Town House in Bath. In fact, three Georgian town houses were first converted into a hotel in 1949. The hotel was later sold to an organization owned by the famous entertainers Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck.

The Redcar Hotel is situated adjacent to Henrietta Park. In fact, the Redcar Hotel stands on Henrietta Street, which was designed between 1788 and 1792 by Sir William Pulteney and named after his daughter, Henrietta Laura Pulteney.

Despite its prime location just off Great Pulteney Street, the Redcar Hotel has seen better days. This visitor  found carpets that were threadbare, and the mattress on the bed in my room was the worst I've ever slept on. Visitors to the hotel should check out the nearby Holburne Museum as well as the Bath Rugby grounds.
