Royal Victoria Park Bath

The 57 acre Royal Victoria Park in Bath opened in 1830 and is located a little west of The Royal Crescent.

The park, funded by public subscription, is one of the earliest parks laid out in the UK, and a fine example of Victorian style.

Royal Victoria Park plays host to the annual Bath Spring Flower Show (Bank Holiday weekend 1-3 May) and the park also contains an interesting Botanical Gardens.

The Botanical Gardens were created in 1887 and contain a replica of a Roman Temple which was shown at the British Empire Exhibition, held at Wembley in 1924.

Other facilities include a children's play area and skateboard park, bowling greens, golf & putting greens, a lake, model boating pond, a bird aviary, allotments, tennis courts, public toilets and the Pavilion Restaurant (open yearly 8am-5pm) for some excellent food and drink.

Car parking can be found within the park.
