Weston-super-Mare is a seaside resort town in North Somerset. Weston-super-Mare might better be called "Weston-super-Mud" due to the mud flats which stretch to a far off water line. Access to the ocean is nigh impossible. Weston-super-Mare is well know for its Grand Pier which was extensively damaged by fire in July 2008. The pier is now being rebuilt and is expected to open again in late 2010.

Weston-super-Mare, Somerset

The beach at Weston-super-Mare is sandy but mudflats extend from the sandy beach for about a mile to the water line at low tide. Walking on the mudflats is dangerous.

Posted signs warn visitors of the danger of walking on the mudflats.

Weston-super-Mare is accessible via the A370.
