Manchester Cathedral

Manchester Cathedral or to give it its full title, The Cathedral and Collegiate Church of St Mary, St Denys and St George in Manchester, dates from the 15th century and was heavily restored in the Victorian period and after bomb damage in World War II and again following the 1996 IRA bombing of the nearby Arndale Center.

Church services are held every day. Please consult the cathedral website below for full details. Manchester Grammar School's Founders' Day Service is held in the Cathedral on the third Friday in October. The school used to occupy what is now Chetham's School of Music next to the church.
